Previously known as the Certificate in Vet Nursing of Exotic Species this programme has been running for 17 years and covers avian, reptiles/amphibians, small mammals, wildlife and now zoo animals.
Designed for vet nurses and vet technicians it covers a range of topics from anatomy and physiology, through nutrition, anaesthesia, emergency and critical care, fluid therapy, husbandry and nursing of common diseases. The zoo programme also looks at conservation, reintroduction medicine and the zoo industry.
